Points per round average. If a player has a 7 PPR, that means, on average, they put 2 bags in the hole (6 points) and 1 bag on the board (1 point).

  • What do I do on the day of my events?

You must be signed up online prior to playing in the event. When you come into the event space, find the registration table so a team member can get your phone/Scoreholio signed in for all your events. Failure to take this step may result in you not being able to play.

  • Are same day registrations available?

May or may not be available. These will be first come, first serve. The price for same day registrations is 50% more than the initial rate (for example, doubles open is $100 before March 7th, day of registration would be $150.) All fees must be paid with a credit or debit card, no cash transactions.

  • What is the refund policy?

You can receive a full refund up to 1 week prior to the events first event (April 10th would be that day). No refunds will be given after this, unless approved by a tournament director. No refunds will be given for anyone found cheating, or for any party who gets kicked out of the event.

  • Are outside foods and beverages allowed?

No, those found gaming this may be kicked out of the event with no refund.

All scoring will be done on Scoreholio. We will have tablets at most boards but may ask players to do player scoring with their phones as well. Please ensure to bring a fully charged cellular phone with Scoreholio installed to the event as we will also be making all notifications via Scoreholio.

  • Divisions/General – Is there a max number of players per division?

Yes, divisions do have a dynamic cap on them based on total game play. If we are getting close to a sell out, we will make an effort to push online that limited spots remain. General rule of thumb, get in soon, its cheaper and you do not have to worry about it.

  • Divisions/General – Will you release a list of the players in the event prior?

    No.

  • Divisions/Open Singles and Doubles – Who can play?

No restrictions on open divisions. All players may participate (including all professionals).

  • Divisions/Comp Singles and Comp Doubles – Who can play?

Players must be at an 8.5PPR in both Scoreholio and the ACL software for singles, or as a team have a maximum combined PPR of 17.

  • Divisions/Comp Singles and Comp Doubles – What happens if I register at below an 8.5 but between now and the event it is over the amount?

The directors of the event will allow for a little play in PPR the day of the event. The basis of this division is to allow for an opportunity for all players at that level or below to participate. If a player falls outside of this threshold on the day of the event, the player will not be allowed to play but a refund will be made.

  • Divisions/Comp Singles and Comp Doubles – What occurs if a player or team is found gaming the system?

The following will be found as illegal game play - hiding stats on either platform, multiple player profiles, or purposely pushing stats down prior to even to qualify. If this is caught before the event kicks off, you will be banned from all remaining events with no refund given. If it is discovered after gameplay or winning, you will be disqualified from the event and any prize money will be forfeited to the next team (split out depending on placement.) We will be checking each cashing place after the event prior to releasing funds, short and skinny, do not try to game the event.

  • Divisions/Comp Singles and Comp Doubles – Can I play in this both the open and this division?

    Yes.

  • Divisions/Comp Singles and Comp Doubles – How does rounders work in this event?

We will have 3 rounds of Swissholio in this division, 14 rounds limited.  We will split this into 2 divisions, and upper and lower (split directly down the middle based on Scoreholio’s default ranking system for the event.) The 2 divisions will then play in a double elimination tournament.

  • Divisions/Junior – Who can play?

Must be 18 or younger at the time of the event.

  • Divisions/Senior – Who can play?

Must be 54 or older at the time of the event.

  • Divisions/Crew Cup – How does this work?

These divisions start at the same time, you can play in one or the other but not both. If a person registers for both, we will discuss the day of and issue a refund for the chosen one that is being skipped.

  • Divisions/Crew Cup – How does this work?

4 person team, and just like comp you have a team maximum of 32 PPR overall (example would be player A with a 9 PPR, player B with a 7, then player C and D with an 8 PPR would be 32 total). 2 players play from one end of the board while the other 2 on the team shoot from the other side (2 bags per player, per round). We do play by ACO rules on crew cup, meaning that you can adjust your throwing position each round (player A and player B are on one side of the board. One round player A can throw the first and second bag, and B throws the third and fourth. The next round player A can throw the first bag, player B throw the second bag…. This can change by round).

  • Gameplay – How is seeding done?

In all events that do not have Swissholio, the seeding is random. In Swissholio events, the seeding will carry over from the rounds played.

  • Gameplay – Who goes first?

Keeping it simple on this one, one player spins a bag. The placement of the seem on the bag dictates who throws first.

  • Gameplay – How does the championship work?

Every event will end up in a double elimination bracket. The team who is undefeated (King Seat) will need to be beaten 2 times in a row from the opponents side in order to loose the championship. This is a double dip, not a triple dip situation.

  • Gameplay – How will payouts work?

The payouts from this event will come directly from the Stormont Vail finance department, as this is a co-directed event with space. Once an event kicks off, we will work on payout postings based on participation and the added funds. At the end of the event, if you are in the money, you will need to fill out a 1099 form for the Stormont Vails finance department. We will take down your name and address information along with a provided document and give it to the venue who will cut and mail checks after the event concludes.

  • Gameplay – Payouts and added money?

Added money will be added to the portion of funds collected from the events percentage as listed on the signup. The percentage varies by event, and the calculation is done on the initial fee for the event, not for late penalties or funds collected day of (example: COED is a 70% payout on a $50 entry, this would mean that $35 of those dollars go into payout. If a team registers on the day of for a spot, the fee is $75 for late entry, but the calculation is based on the $50 entry. If 20 teams sign up in this example, you would have $700 from entries and an additional $500 added for a total payout of $1200).
